DVD 11

Recorreremos los más interesantes  lugares del país y realizaremos las más diversas actividades a lo largo de su geografía, comenzando por el estado Falcón: Coro, Paraguaná  y el Parque Nacional Morrocoy. Desde alli bajaremos a Los Llanos inundables del Orinoco,  luego visitaremos Los Andes para experimentar los deportes de aventura.  Un  viaje por el Orinoco en la Amazonía venezolana nos llevará al Autana Tepui, el árbol de todas las frutas en la mitología Piaroa.  Recorreremos el río Caura hasta alcanzar los saltos Pará, después visitaremos el Parque Nacional Canaima para apreciar sus Tepuis  y  sus majestuosos saltos y culminaremos en el suroeste para encontrar las más bizarras aves de Suramérica. Conoceremos en el  Delta del Orinoco los secretos de la selva lluviosa.   Visitaremos la Cueva del Guácharo para ver a una de las más extrañas aves nocturnas de Suramérica. Para finalizar, Los Roques, uno de los pocos destinos vírgenes del Caribe, con sus prístinos arrecifes coralinos.

We will go to the best wild places in the Country and will experience many different activities alongside it, starting at the northernmost part, the Paraguaná peninsula. From there going south will stop at  Coro. Going east there is the Morrocoy National Park and from there will travel to the middle of the Country where we will enjoy the plenty wildlife of the Orinoco floodable plains, the Llanos. Then we go  to the Andes for the best adventure sports. The third segment take  us through the amazonian forest to the Autana Tepui. The fourth segment guides us to the southern Orinoco. Will travel on the Caura river to reach the Pará Falls. Then there is the Canaima National Park, and the Gran Sabana,   Doyle´s Lost World  come true. The fifth segment starts in the Orinoco Delta where we will be told about  the secrets of the rainforest by a Warao indian guide.  Then going north we will stop at La Cueva del Guácharo.  At last but not least there is Los Roques, one of the few still virgin spots in the Caribbean.

DVD 07                                                                    Cozumel, Gran Cayman y La Bahamas, Morrocoy, Bonaire y Los Roques están entre los mejores sitios de buceo en el Caribe. Cozumel es la isla habitada más grande de México y legendaria desde que Jacques Cousteau hizo un documental en 1961.   Un viaje a Chichén-Itzá nos muestra una de las ruina Mayas mejor conservadas de todo el imperio. Las islas Cayman son renombradas entre los buzos por sus paredes verticales. Una de las experiencias más excitantes es el buceo con rayas en Stingray City, algo que nunca se podrá olvidar. Una visita a la granja de tortugas Turtle Farm y al Jardín Botánico nos dará otro motivo para visitar  Gran Cayman. La Bahamas es un destino bien conocido para buzos debido a la alta probabilidad de ver tiburones y otos animales grandes.  Defines, rayas, tortugas, y tiburones se ven en este documental.  De allí nos vamos al Parque Nacional Morrocoy, uno de los lugares más buscados por los buzos en Venezuela. A continuación el paraíso de buceo de Bonaire, hogar del buceo ilimitado y para finalizar el Archipiélago de Los Roques donde experimentaremos cómo era el Caribe hace tres décadas.

Cozumel, Grand Cayman, the Bahamas,  Morrocoy, Bonaire and Los Roques  are among the best diving sites in the Caribbean. Cozumel is the largest inhabited island of México and legendary since Jacques Cousteau made a documentary in 1961.  A trip to Chichén-Itzá shows us one of the best preserved Mayan ruins in the whole empire. The Cayman islands are renown among divers because of its vertical walls. One of the most thrilling experiences in the world is diving in Stingray City, an experience that will last forever. A visit to the Turtle Farm and the Botanical Gardens will give us another reason to visit Grand Cayman. The Bahamas is a well know destination for divers due to the many chances to see sharks and other big animals.  Dolphins, rays, turtles and sharks are to be seen in this documentary. From there we move to Morrocoy National Park, one of the most sought after places by scuba divers in the north eastern Venezuela.  Then we jump to the diving paradise of Bonaire, one of the three Dutch Caribbean jewels in the southern Caribbean and the home of the diving freedom. And to bring this adventure to a fitting close, Los Roques, discover how The Caribbean was three decades ago, healthy reefs, blue waters and thousands of fish.

KEREPACUPAI-MERÚ - SALTO ANGEL.- 40% del territorio venezolano yace al sur y este del Orinoco, las tierras altas de Guayana, parte del escudo Precámbrico que constituye lo más antiguo de la tierra.  Nuestra aventura comienza en la Laguna de Canaima, desde allí la expedición arranca en curiara remontando el Carrao y después el Churún hasta alcanzar el Salto Angel. Rugientes ríos y peligrosos rápidos son parte de la aventura que se torna sobrenatural al navegar entre las gigantescas paredes del Auyantepui, una aventura inolvidable.                                                                                                                                       SALTOS PARÁ.-La reserva del Caura   es uno de los ecosistemas más prístinos del Continente. Este documental narra el viaje para alcanzar los Saltos Pará, un destino poco conocido en la Reserva.   Numerosas cascadas de unos treinta metros de altura forman una laguna en la que los únicos sonidos que podemos oír son el agua y el bosque a su alrededor.  Fascinantes paisajes, selvas, islas, fauna de la región y asentamientos indígenas.   

ANGEL FALLS - Forty percent of Venezuelan territory lies southern the Orinoco, the Guiana Highlands, part of the Pre-Cambrian Shield which is one of the oldest rock formations in the Planet.  The adventure starts in the Canaima lagoon with a dozen waterfalls coming down from the Carrao river highs. From there the expedition to Angel Falls takes place. We experience rushing rivers, peaceful savannas, dangerous rapids, immense massifs, lush vegetation, orchids and rare animals in this trip to the highest falls in the world.                                                                                        PARÁ FALLS.-The Caura reserve is one of the most pristine ecosystems in South America. This documentary shows the trip to the Pará Falls, a little known spot in the Caura Reserve. About a dozen falls a hundred feet tall form a lagoon where the only noises we hear are those of the water and jungle around it. Fascinating landscapes of the river, jungles, islands, fauna of the region and indian villages.

EL FLUJO DE LAS MAREAS.- Experimentaremos el subir y bajar de las mareas, selvas inundadas con flora y fauna características, la pesca de pirañas, canotaje, ceremonias de los indios warao, su artesanía y su conocimiento de la selva, la sabiduría natural transmitida de generación en generación.                                                                                                                                                 

KAYAKING EL DELTA.- Cinco intrépidos aventureros abordan sus kayaks con mínima carga y provisiones para intentar el viaje de 300 kilómetros atravesando el Delta del Orinoco hasta el Atlántico frente a Trinidad.  La lluvia, las extensas remadas, el reverberante sol, el frío y la adversidad los llevan al límite de su resistencia para alcanzar finalmente su cometido  a base de tenacidad y arrojo.

THE FLOW OF THE TIDES.- We will feel the flow of the tides, will encounter flooded jungles with a fauna and flora characteristics, piranha fishing, canoeing, a warao indian shaman ceremony, warao houses and handicrafts and a whole chapter of  jungle wisdom lectured by a warao guide. Roots, trees, saps, leaves, barks, vines to cure diseases, to dig canoes, to make handicrafts, to communicate with people and much more.                                                                                               

KAYAKING THE DELTA.-Five intrepid expeditionaries take the decision to kayak the Orinoco Delta in a 200 miles journey along seven days. They   jump into the kayaks with minimum luggage, food and support gear to chase rain, the burning sun, chill, and adversity to  test themselves to their limits  in this never made journey to the Atlantic ocean to arrive to the Atlantic coast  in front of the island of Trinidad.

DVD 26                                                                                                                                          EL ALMA DE LOS LLANOS.-  A lo largo de este documental experimentaremos el estilo de vida de los llanos, su gente, sus vastas planicies inundables, la observación de aves, la pesca de pirañas, los mamíferos de la zona, los delfines de río. Cabalgaremos por sus llanuras y bosques, veremos cómo se fabrica el casabe, cómo se ordeña a mano con las canciones tradicionales del ordeño manual, iremos a descubrir animales en la noche y para finalizar, el sonido característico de las canciones llaneras en una fiesta típica de arpa, cuatro y maracas.                                                                                                                                                   EN ALGUN LUGAR DEL  LLANO.- Los Llanos...un mágico lugar de planicies infinitas, inundables en el invierno pareciendo mar y secas a la saciedad en verano pareciendo un desierto...Es el  hogar cientos de especies viviendo en armonía, una de las más extraordinarias reservas genéticas de Venezuela. THE SOUL OF THE LLANOS.- The Orinoco Plains, the LLANOS, comprises almost 40% of venezuelan territory, over 100.000 square miles, in the middle of the country, mostly north of the Orinoco.   Through this documentary we will experience the lifestyle of the Llanos, its people and its vast Nature. We will be birdwatching and looking at other animals in rivers, plains and forests. Horse riding, fishing, river dolphins, the Casabe making, handmilkind, nightwatching, cattle operation and even a typical Fiesta Llanera (music and dance) with instruments and singers area among the events shown in the piece.                                                                                                                   SOMEWHERE IN THE PLAINS OF THE ORINOCO.- The Llanos.... a magical land of open, flooded plains in the rainy season that is burnt dry during the other half of the year when no rain falls. It is the home of hundreds of animal species living in perfect harmony with this, their difficult environment. An incredible wealth of species native to the Llanos makes it one of the greatest genetic reservoirs of Venezuela. In this video we will observe more than 40 species of birds, both large and small reptiles, 20 species of mammals, fresh water fishes as well as insects, all in their habitats of savannas, bushes, woods and rivers.   

EL CHIGÜIRE.- Aunque la fauna Neotropical está caracterizada por una gran variedad de especies, no ha conducido a grandes  mamíferos, aunque sí  ha sido extraordinario el desarrollo de grandes roedores como el chigüire, el mayor del mundo.   Este documental explora y describe la historia natural del chigüire en los llanos de Venezuela. Más de una década de observación científica condujo a esta pieza, la primera producida sobre este auténtico y autóctono representante de los llanos venezolanos. 

El GUÁCHARO, LA CHENCHENA, EL CAIMÁN DEL ORINOCO.- El Guácharo y la Chenchena son extraños animales del trópico, en estos micros su historia natural, conjuntamente con la crianza en cautiverio del Caimán del Orinoco, en aras de su recuperación como especie en peligro de extinción.

THE CAPYBARA.- Although Neotropical fauna is characterized by an astounding wealth of species, it has very few large mammals. But, the evolutionary adaptation has lead to gigantic rodents. Including the largest in the world, the Capybara which may weight 130 pounds. This documentary summarizes over 10 years of research of the natural history of the Capybara and includes unpublished images of the biology and behavior of this South American colossus. The first and most comprehensive audiovisual documentary produced on the Capybara in Venezuela.                                                                     

THE OILBIRD, THE HOATZIN, THE ORINOCO CROC.- The Oilbird and the Hoatzin are strange animals of the tropics. In these short films we can watch their Natural History, together with the breeding in captivity of  Orinoco Croc, a joined effort to bring him back  from the endangered list of species.

MASAGUARAL, A NATURAL ZOO      20.000 acres of cattle land houses a wealthy fauna on its savannas, lagoons and  riparian forests. The  environment of this  region is shown throughout  the life of the most authentic animals of each area, especially mammals, reptiles and some icon birds. A scientific project on wedge capuchin monkeys is described by its author. Bizarre mammals like felines, anteaters, tayra, capybaras, howler monkeys, agoutis are shown in close ups, including its behavior and relations with the environment.This documentary won the Price "IL CINEMA PER L´AMBIENTE" in the 3rd Festival Internazionale del Cinema Natualìstico in  Italy in 2001                                                                                                                                                                   THE ORINOCO CROCODILE     A cattle ranch, just like many of those that abound in the floodable plains of the Orinoco basin is the location where the adventure takes place. Half a century ago his owner decided to share the cattle business with  conservation of the wealthy fauna of the region. Twenty years ago the first attempts to breed the Orinoco croc in captivity  were made to save this  endangered species, due to massive hunting for its valuable skin. The documentary shows the whole yearly process from egg collecting to the release in the wild.

MÉRIDA.- Toda la belleza de los páramos andinos, con su verdor en verano y teñidos de nieve en el invierno. Santo Domingo, Apartaderos, Mucubají, Milla, la Sierra Nevada, Los Aleros, La Azulita, y aves típicas de la zona como el pato de Torrentes, el Serrano, la Paraulata Morera, el Cóndor de Los Andes  y los colibríes, variadas especies de los páramos en sorprendentes acercamientos.           AVENTURA EN LOS ANDES  .-La acción comienza en Mérida, donde haremos vuelo en parapente, canyoning, bicicleta de montaña y salto de péndulo. Después nos movemos al piedemonte de la Sierra Nevada para cabalgatas de montaña y al final al estado Barinas para hacer rafting en el río Sinigüis.    Una de las aventuras más excitantes en venezuela es hacer rafting en los ríos del piedemonte andino que fluyen hacia el Orinoco, directamente a través de sus afluentes. 

MERIDA.- All the beauty of the Venezuelan Andes, including snow peaks and  mountains in the rainy season. Santo Domingo, Apartaderos, Mucubají, Milla, la Sierra Nevada, Los Aleros, La Azulita and typical birds such as the Torrent and Duck and the  Andean Teal, the Andean Condor, the Great Thrush and typical hummingbirds of the páramo in amazing shots.                               THE ANDES ADVENTURE.-The action starts in Mérida State where we will enjoy the experiences of paragliding, canyoning, mountain biking and bridge jumping. After all that excitement we will move to the foothills of Sierra Nevada for the rafting adventure.  One of the most amazing and thrilling experiences in Venezuela is rafting the rivers coming down from the Andes to the floodable plains of the Orinoco. This adventure  takes place in the Sinigüis river.
